I spent most of today out with the goats, listening to The Scorpio Races on audiobook, and playing referee when Willow decided Maple was taking up too much space/food/air, and in the afternoon, hanging out with Tegan and admiring the baby goats. It was a really wonderful kind of day, though not so great to blog about.
Suddenly it is 23:15. But tomorrow's Friday, and the fact that we've still got two rounds to go in our card game is okay. (Live blogging from CPT Iraqi Kurdistan Trumps Tournament! I'm coming in third, so far, out of four players. There's still time

It sure felt like summer in the city this evening. Well, summer, at least. I went over to Chris's house, to sit on Chris's porch and drink Brooklyn Brown Ales with Sarah and Dubs (his last name begins with the letter W...) on a warm March evening. It was cool and a bit crazy, in the time-warp sense, hanging out with the lot of them, since we all

Borrowing Robin's computer because she couldn't remember the wireless password, though fortunately her laptop does. Just a small update, because it's late and I should be in bed, but I spent literally the whole day talking with Robin and Tegan, and it was absolutely wonderful. It looks plastered to her head

Hey there - made it to Michigan, and hanging out with Daniel here up on the mitten. Weather on the way in looked bad on the radar (thanks for the updates, Mum and Dad...), but on the ground all was well until about 15 miles from my destination. And even then, things weren't real bad until I got into the town itself

So I was going to post about the gang shooting that happened today about a block from the training office, but since none of us saw it (we sure heard it), and since apparently no one was injured, I'd rather not talk about it. There are two rival gangs in this area. Sometimes, shit goes down. Since their business is theirs, and our business is ours

The wind was fierce today, and carried a coldness to it probably acquired from the snow on the mountains. They're so dramatic - ever and always, but especially now, again, that they're snow-covered. It's a good time of year for this song, and I've been singing to myself often
